95% of all of the veg we supply is grown right here on the farm and is mostly harvested the same morning it is delivered, so it is as fresh, healthy and local as it is possible to buy!
We are also pleased to have partnered with Barleywood Orchard
to be able to deliver their delicious apple juice made from local, unsprayed orchards: £3.50 per 750ml bottle. Our customers love the juice and we've sold hundreds of bottles of this high-quality locally stored sunlight. We also grow beautiful flowers which can be ordered £10 bunch to collect or deliver within our delivery area (see Ooooby site for details).
A note on packaging: We use jute or paper bags for delivery and our salad bags are not plastic - they are made of non-GM plant cellulose made from woodchip, which means they biodegrade in a compost heap - we've tested this and bags disappear within 4 months in a good heap.
Typical Summer veg bag: Tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli (calabrese), courgettes, spring onions, pak choi, broad beans, salad bag, coriander pot herb.
Typical Autumn veg bag: Cauliflower, broccoli (calabrese), carrots, beetroot, French beans, squash, salad bag, pea shoots.
Typical Winter veg bag: Leeks, Brussels, Charlotte Potatoes, Swiss chard, swede, mustard greens, salad bag.
Typical Spring veg bag: Spinach, mangetout peas, spring onions, salad bag, rhubarb, fennel bulb, new potatoes.
Tomatoes: We LOVE growing tomatoes and customers receive a variety of unusual types from us over the summer and autumn. We often give a kilo or more in a portion and they will be better tasting than any tomato you can buy!
